The law postgraduate scheme facilitates the development of the student's academic skills of analysis, reflective study and critical reasoning; international economic law is a discrete discipline within public international law concerned with trade, investment and public procurement; agreements such as the International Convention on the Settlement of Investment Disputes (1967) and the Treaty establishing the World Trade Organisation (1994) have led to the emergence of an increasingly sophisticated system of trade and related rights; this system governs relations between states, and states and individuals, and is of growing relevance to students and academics globally.
