In September 2009, The School of Law and Department of Economics at Queen Mary will be offering a main MSc in Economics and Finance programme and three additional specialist areas in Banking and Financial Services, Law and Financial Regulation and Law and Corporate Finance. Led by Dr Kern Alexander, who recently joined Queen Mary from the University of Cambridge, the objective is to provide a high-level inter-disciplinary treatment of the key subject areas within law and finance for advanced academic study and professional training purposes.
The programme is currently fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Scotland (CIBOS) with other professional accreditations being applied for.
A minimum upper second class honours or equivalent degree in law/economics or finance or a degree with substantial law content.
Alternatively, candidates may be considered with substantial professional relevant experience in the law or banking/finance areas and/or regulation and compliance.
