US law schools have international appeal
As we have mentioned before universities in the United States are increasingly offering international postgraduate law students great opportunities when it comes to LLM programs.
Penn State University Dickinson School of Law in Pennsylvania is the latest American law school to announce some great developments in its current LLM offerings.
Associate Dean for Graduate and International Programs, Karen Bysiewicz, explains, “The substance of our LLM program has not changed. Our goal continues to be to augment the abilities and skills students bring into the program with the capacity to analyze, communicate, and practice as an international legal expert and that includes making changes to our program to best meet the needs of our students.”
And as well as expanding its areas of specialised study, Penn State Law is also giving potential LLM students the opportunity to start an LLM program in January 2013 rather than having to wait until Autumn 2013. The deadline for applications for those wishing to start this January is Wednesday 31st October 2012.
Other US law schools offering January 2013 start dates for their LLM programs include Washington University in St Louis School of Law, and meanwhile across the pond Edinburgh Law School and Kingston University London are offering January 2013 LLM opportunities.
