Why Law at Leeds?
One of the leading law schools in the UK, Leeds School of Law has been providing high quality legal education since 1899. In that time, we have seen our graduates become prominent judges, politicians, academics and successful legal practitioners. With over fifty dedicated academic staff, we can boast legal expertise in a diverse range of topics affecting global societies today. Our students benefit from studying in the second largest legal and financial sector in the UK outside of London.
Our first-class learning environment – the Liberty Building
Since January 2011, the School of Law has moved into a new purpose-built £12m home. The Liberty Building incorporates high quality teaching and research space, a moot court incorporating the latest technology and a law and community centre to support the School's pro-bono work.

We recognise the growing internationalisation of research agendas in legal, socio-legal, and criminal justice studies. Our thriving research centres include the Centre for Business Law and Practice; Centre for Criminal Justice Studies; Centre for European Law and Legal Studies and the Centre for International Governance.
