The LLM Law with Pathways is a highly flexible course that offers you the chance to pursue your professional, personal and academic interests by following one of nine different pathways. You can choose:

or you can choose LLM Law with any of the following:
-
Commercial Law
-
Constitutional Politics, Law and Theory
-
Environmental Law, Governance and Policy
-
Human Rights
-
International Intellectual Property
-

-

Whichever pathway you choose, our teaching is underpinned by legal, critical, policy, social sciences and humanities-oriented perspectives. You will be introduced to cutting-edge theoretical debates and perspectives that support understanding of the relationship between law, politics, economy, environment, art and the creative industries, technology and justice.
You can look forward to a stimulating learning environment, alongside others with diverse backgrounds and professional experiences. Our students include those with pre-existing knowledge or experience of law, and those with a desire to pursue a specialism in this area. This course is ideal if you would like to advance in your existing career or are ambitious to carve out a new career path.
Note: you will be able to choose your pathway once you have enrolled on the LLM Law with Pathways.
If you choose the LLM Law General pathway starting in October, this route is offered as part of our new Birkbeck Flexible Master’s UK, which gives you the choice of how you want to study - on campus, online or via flexible learning, which combines both.
If you choose to start in January, you will be able to take the following on-campus pathways: LLM Law General, LLM Law with Constitutional Politics, Law and Theory, LLM Law with Human Rights, or LLM Law with International Law and Development.
