Miami Law Practice Law In US/ La Práctica Del Derecho En Los Estados Unido Information Session 14 April 2020

Miami LawMiami Law is holding an Information Session in Spanish for foreign lawyers about access to practice law in the United States on Tuesday 14th April 2019, at 6pm EDT (Miami time).

This information session will be held in Spanish by the international postgraduate studies team at the Law School. It will answer questions including:

What is the Bar?
What do I have to do to be able to introduce myself?
What is the difference between a LLM and a JD?
If I want to work as a lawyer in Florida and I only have one LLM, what are my options?
What is the LSAT? And the TOEFL?

The session will also include information on the different degrees offered by Miami Law, as well as the different possibilities to practice law with each of them, including:

* Master of International Law (LLM) that allows the foreign lawyer to be admitted to a Bar or Bar Association of about 15 states being the State Bar of New York the most common.

* Master of Law with Intensive Legal English (LLM + Intensive English), for those who need to improve their legal English skills.

* Masters degree and Degree in Law (LLM/JD) double degree that allows the lawyer to be admitted to the Bar of any State of the United States, including Florida.

The session will be given by the team responsible for the international postgraduate courses of Miami Law School:
