University of Minnesota Law School LLM program is ideal for foreign students

Minnesota LawMinnesota Law has two renowned LLM programs for foreign lawyers: LLM (general) and LLM in Business Law. Both offer students the chance to experience a world-class education at a world-class law school. Located in the vibrant city of Minneapolis, Minnesota Law was ranked in the top 20 law schools in 2018.

Minnesota Law LLM studentOne student currently enjoying the Minnesota LLM experience is Alexandre Le Nepveu. Alexandre studied civil law in his home country of France, and has now come to Minnesota Law to learn the US common law system, with a focus on international business law.

He states, “I chose Minnesota Law because it is a very well-ranked American law school. Above all, I appreciate that the program allows LLM students to study with JD students. This is valuable for me. I believe this is the best way to improve both my English skills and my legal skills.”

Minnesota Law offers the opportunity to earn one of 11 concentrations during the one-year program. In addition, practical experiences are available such as Judicial Observation, Trial Practice, an LLM pro-bono program, and a pre-LLM summer legal English and legal skills course (LEAD).

Every admitted Minnesota Law student is considered for financial assistance, thanks to a robust scholarship program.

Says Chilean alumna, Karina Uribe Pena, “Earning my LLM at Minnesota Law helped me learn how to adapt to diverse situations and made possible all my professional achievements.”
