Innovative, trailblazing and exclusive LLM in IP Law

The study of Intellectual Property (IP) Law at Stellenbosch University (SU) has been a part of the Faculty’s offering since 1922 and SU remains a pioneering spirit in academic and practical legal training.
The Faculty is proud to announce that from January 2013 the first group op elite students will commence their studies toward the only fully accredited Master of Laws (LLM) in Intellectual Property available in South Africa.
The LLM (IP Law) is a bespoke programme focused on issues of Intellectual Property Law designed to train super-specialised academics and equip students with the necessary skills to practice effectively in this field of law and occupy the position of experts in IP Law.
This one year residential qualification will promote students who endeavour to become a trademark practitioner or patent attorney and is designed to cater for full-time or part time students.
The LLM (IP Law) consists of the following modules: Copyright Law, Trademark Law, Intellectual Property in the Digital Environment, Patent Law and the Law of Registered Designs.
