Dickson Poon Law School offers students the chance to study a General LLM, where they can choose their own modules, alternatively students can specialise in one of nine different pathways, which are:

The majority of the coursework modules are assessed by exam, and some modules include additional coursework and presentations which add to the percentage of final marking.
Dickson Poon LLM teaching system
Dickson Poon’s LLM’s teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures and seminars. Depending on the module, some may be delivered through seminar-style teaching while others may be lecture-based or a combination of both.
In general, students can expect to have six to ten contact hours per week. Contact time is based on 24 academic weeks, while self-study time is based on 31 academic weeks. The LLM course's total notional study hours are 1,800, with one credit equivalent to 10 hours of work. The notional study hours include formal teaching and learning activities such as lectures, tutorials and assessments, as well as independent research and study.
Dickson Poon uses a mix of face-to-face teaching and digital learning to enhance the learning experience for students.

Dickson Poon LLM application procedure
There are a number of steps involved in successfully submitting an application to The Dickson Poon School of Law’s LLM. To start your application, visit the course page and click the ‘How To Apply’ tab. The application page leads to multiple steps, starting from selecting the course, reviewing entry requirements and funding, and moves on to final document submittals.
Due to the large volume of LLM applicants prospective students are expected to submit multiple documents to support their Master of Laws application. Successful applicants will be selected based on competence, hence a personal statement, previous academic records and any evidence of professional career, registration and experience will be required.
Applications must be made online using King's Apply portal and a non-refundable application fee of £120 applies.

LLM fees
The annual LLM tuition fees for students who are residents of the UK are £20,220 for a full-time course and £10,110 per year for a part-time course.
The LLM course fees for international and overseas students is £31,980 for a full-time course and £15,990 per year for a part-time LLM course.
Tuition fees cover the cost of teaching and academic support. Additional costs that can be incurred include books, living costs, accommodation, library fees, society memberships, graduation costs and transcription costs.
LLM funding
Both UK and international students need to ensure they have adequate funds to support their living costs, and the general monthly expenditure in London is currently estimated to be £1,265 for students.
