Summary

Environmental Law is an interdisciplinary programme, encompassing legal, political and human rights issues of environmental protection. Study draws on expertise from a range of subjects such as geography and physics, and gives you a solid, interdisciplinary understanding of the fundamental principles in environmental law.

You will be taught by scholars actively researching in the field, and there are relevant environmental lectures, talks and events held throughout the academic year.

Depending on your ideal career trajectory, you can tailor this course to suit your interests. You can learn about and dissect pressing environmental issues, including the relationship between climate change and human rights, the challenges of using nuclear power, the management of water resources, or the laws encouraging international green energy investment.

Please note that not all modules will be available in any one year. You do not have to choose your modules until you have had the opportunity to learn about them in greater detail during your comprehensive induction period.
