You will develop an in-depth understanding of contemporary human rights issues around the world and explore how legislation, policy, and practice can be used to respond to these challenges.
This programme is taught by leading human rights experts and is shaped by outstanding research. As a postgraduate student at the School of Law, you will be part of a globally recognised law school, with a thriving academic environment committed to excellence in teaching and research, and offering an exceptional student experience.
You will gain the knowledge and experience to develop as a 21stcentury lawyer or legal services professional, with specialist, in-depth understanding of contemporary human rights issues.
The course offers: - A programme shaped by high calibre research - Academics with strong relationships with external partners in the human rights field - An interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach - A focus on diverse and emerging challenges in human rights - Opportunities to explore a wide range of human rights topics across different thematic areas
You will also learn through: - Guest lectures delivered by expert practitioners - Workplace learning through voluntary work and/or placements - Participation in collaborative research projects with research partners - Engagement with the School’s major initiatives, such as the Cyberterrorism Project, the Observatory on Human Rights of Children, and the Sex Work Consortium
