US universities offering an LLM degree in AI Law

There are also many US law schools and universities offering a Master of Laws degree in artificial intelligence. The United States is such a vast country that it might be a good idea to consider studying this specialism near the more high-tech areas such as Silicon Valley, as this may prove beneficial when it comes to networking, internships and potential work experience. For example, UC Berkeley Law in California offers a well-regarded LLM in AI Law and Regulation.

UC Berkeley Law – LLM in AI Law and Regulation

This Master of Laws Degree at Berkeley Law provides student with an industry-endorsed foundation in AI. The course explores a range of areas including intellectual property, data privacy, licensing and risk. Therefore, this LLM can either be studied remotely over one year from January until December, including a one on campus summer semester, or alternatively it can be studied over two consecutive 8–10 week summer semesters in Berkeley.

Climate law is essential in today’s society and the study of this topic encompasses laws, regulations and policies regarding climate change and disaster risk management. Key aspects of climate law include mitigation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create net-zero targets; adaptation to encourage and regulate societies impacts on climate change; and disaster risk management to provide legal frameworks to manage climate-related risks and respond to climate-related disasters.
