Russell Group universities with Master of Laws

Cardiff University – Russell Group universities

The Russell Group is a collection of 24 world-class and research-intensive universities in the UK ­– it was established in 1994. There are currently around 195,000 postgraduate students studying at Russell Group universities, and there are many reasons why you should you join them for your LLM degree studies.

Well almost… with the exception of the University of Oxford – which offers a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) and a Magister Juris (MJur), but no LLM degree program – and Imperial College.

Cardiff University offers a General LLM which allows students to study a wide range of legal issues without the need to specialise in one specific area of the law.

University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge offers a General Master of Laws and students can choose four LLM modules from a selection of around 30.

Durham University

Durham University offers a Master of Laws program with the flexibility for students to focus on their own areas of interest from subjects across the Law School, including European Trade and Commercial Law; International Trade and Commercial Law; and International Law and Governance.
