What are the best law schools in Europe?
Considering studying postgraduate law in mainland Europe? If so, you’re spoilt for choice, as European countries offer an abundance of internationally focused, globally recognised law schools. And many of these top-ranked law schools have an excellent choice of Master of Laws degree programs and other postgraduate law courses that are taught in the English language.

KU Leuven
KU Leuven in Belgium was established over 600 years ago and offers hundreds of degree courses. The Faculty of Law and Criminology offers a good selection of international law and criminology postgraduate course all taught in the English language.

Founded in 1472, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Germany was Bavaria’s first university. It is a leading European research university and the choice for over 50,000 students every year, The Faculty of Law at LMU Munich offers one Master of Laws program taught in the English language.

It also offers an LLM in German Law, but this is taught in the German language.
Maastricht University
Maastricht University in the Netherlands is a truly international institution with over 50% of the students and 40% of the academic staff coming from overseas. Maastricht University offers many postgraduate programs taught in the English language, and these often have an international focus.
