Bristol Law School announces partnership with Singapore Management University
The University of Bristol Law School has announced a new partnership with Yong Pung How School of Law at Singapore Management University (SMU).
This new partnership between Bristol Law School and Yong Pung How School of Law will allow students to gain two LLM degrees from these two world-renowned law schools.
SMU was chosen as it is internationally recognised for its world-class research and teaching, and it offers Master of Law programs including LLM Cross Border Business and Finance Law in Asia, LLM Law and Technology, and LLM Judicial Studies.
Students on all of Bristol’s LLM degree programs will be able to take advantage of this exciting opportunity and applications are open with immediate effect, with students also benefiting from a discount on tuition fees from both institutions.
Speaking about this new partnership, University of Bristol Law School, Head of School, Professor Catherine Kelly, said, “This partnership with Singapore Management University School of Law is a truly exciting development for Bristol Law School and our students. SMU is a world-renowned institution with a truly global outlook, and by combining the complementary strengths of our two schools, we are creating a unique 1+1 LLM pathway that equips graduates with a powerful, internationally recognised qualification and a decisive edge in today's competitive global legal market.”
Meanwhile, Dean of the SMU Yong Pung How School of Law, Professor Lee Pey Woan, enthused, “SMU is delighted to partner with Bristol Law School on this initiative. With its long-standing tradition of excellence in legal education, Bristol brings a depth and breadth of expertise that will enrich our programme. Together, we aim to provide students with a rigorous and globally oriented learning experience that prepares them to navigate complex legal challenges across jurisdictions.”
