UK postgraduate student finance applications are open
Applications for postgraduate student finance in the UK are now open for the academic year 2026/2027.
Students can apply for postgraduate masters and doctoral loans with Student Finance England (SFE) and Student Finance Wales (SFW).
SFE students applying for the 2026/27 academic year can apply for:
- Up to £13,206 for a postgraduate masters course
- Up to £31,122 for a postgraduate doctoral course
- Disabled Student’s Allowance
SFW students applying for the 2026/27 academic year can apply for:
- Up to £19,635 for a postgraduate masters course
- Up to £29,705 for a postgraduate doctoral course
- Disabled Student’s Allowance
New postgraduate students should apply online at:
- Student Finance England – https://www.gov.uk/student-finance-register-login
- Student Finance Wales – https://www.studentfinancewales.co.uk/
Continuing postgraduate students don’t need to re-apply for their funding as this will automatically roll over from the previous year of your postgraduate course – make sure you sign into your online account to make sure your information is up to date.
