UB School of Law has distinguished new advisory panel
The Dean’s Advisory Council (DAC) at University at Buffalo School of Law has appointed five new members to its advisory panel from its alumni.
The DAC is a sounding board offering advice to UB School of Law’s Dean S Todd Brown about all aspects of law school life and priorities, including curriculum, administrative planning and government relations – and these five new members will bring invaluable and unique expertise.
These five UB School of Law alumni will provide new perspectives in private practice, public service and the judiciary. Dean Brown explains, “Our DAC members are essential partners in our mission.” He continues, “They bring a front-line view of the legal profession’s evolving demands. Their expertise helps us make informed decisions about how to best prepare our students and strengthen the education we provide.”
The five new members of the DAC are Honorable Trini E Ross, former US attorney for the Western District of New York; Honorable Kathy J King, New York State Supreme Court Justice for the Second Judicial District; Allison J Tam, partner at Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP in Manhattan; Patricia S Ciccarelli, partner and founding member of Schnitter Ciccarelli Mills PLLC in Buffalo and president of the UB Law Alumni Association; and Marina A Barci, attorney at Buffalo law firm Kahana & Field, LLP and president of the UB Law GOLD Group.
UB School of Law is one of the strongest public law schools in the US and the only law school in the State University of New York system. It is a world-class centre for interdisciplinary studies and offers five programs for students who already have a first degree in law – General LLM; Criminal Law LLM; Cross-Border Legal Studies LLM; Two-Year JD for International Trained Lawyers; and Doctor of Judicial Science.
