Sophie Etherton is studying an LPC LLM at The University of Law.
She was shocked and delighted when she found out she was the lucky recipient of one of our Global LLM Study Bursaries, explaining, “I couldn’t believe it when I received the news that I had been awarded the bursary.” She continues, “It will make such a difference to my tuition fees, so I feel incredibly lucky to have been chosen. The 24-year-old British student chose to study the LPC LLM program because it combines the professional qualification that she needs to train as a solicitor with the opportunity to research a legal practice area which is of a particular interest to her, and so far the course hasn’t disappointed. She enthuses, “The course has completely exceeded my expectations and I particularly enjoy how practical it is compared to my undergraduate degree. It is also fantastic to learn from highly experienced tutors in such a welcoming environment.”
Sophie chose The University of Law for her postgraduate law studies because it has a brilliant reputation as an LPC LLM course provider. Plus, because of its numerous campuses around the UK, she was able to find a campus close to home. She says, “It enables me to study out of Exeter which is relatively close to where I grew up in south Devon.” She continues, “It’s great to be near to friends and family whilst studying.”
Sophie has always had a natural interest in access to justice which is what initially led her to study law for her undergraduate degree, and after a stint volunteering for Citizens Advice last year, she was inspired me to take this next step in her education and career by studying the LPC LLM at The University of Law. We are delighted to be able to help Sophie with her journey and look forward to following her academic journey and future career.
