The Human Rights Law Centre at the University of Nottingham is holding a Webinar called ‘Bringing Human Rights to Bear on Covid-19’ on Thursday 21st May 2020, from at 12.30-2pm BST.
This webinar will explore the human rights issues raised by Covid-19, asking questions including: To what extent do government responses to the pandemic comply with human rights law? What changes need to be made to law and policy to ensure that human rights are guaranteed during this time of Covid-19? What is the role of the courts and other accountability mechanisms?
Questions will be addressed by an international team of experts based at the University of Nottingham’s renowned Human Rights Law Centre, with speakers including Professor Robert McCorquodale, Professor Marko Milanovic and HRLC Co-Director Professor Aoife Nolan.
The event will be held on Zoom, and a link to join the meeting will be emailed to registered participants in advance of the webinar.
