Our LLM Digital Economy adopts a cutting-edge and cross-disciplinary approach to the Digital Economy. Focusing on the challenges and opportunities of the modern age, from connected homes to smart cities and cloud computing to artificial intelligence, you will gain a detailed familiarity of the major legal and policy matters at the heart of the Digital Economy.
This innovative perspective will give you the skills to become strategic digital business leaders, able to guide businesses, organisations and governments to harness the potential of the Digital Economy while also protecting legal rights.
Through a combination of lectures, in-class discussions and debates, presentations and group work, you will study the practice of law pertaining to areas such as: •communications (infrastructure) •trade •competition •content (intellectual property) •information (data and social media)
By working alongside students from our LLM International Commercial Law and International Business Law courses, you will also develop a broader understanding of these two fields, which underpin Digital Economy law.
Your studies will be supported by leading practitioners and academics in the field of Digital Economy law, who bring a wealth of real-life experience and knowledge into the classroom, as well as guest speakers working at the highest level of digital business.
At the end of the course you will use your new skills and understanding to complete a research project, showing you are ready to take on professional life in the Digital Economy.
