Master of Laws (LL.M.) Program in Intercultural Human Rights
St. Thomas University College of Law in Miami, Florida offers a 24-credit, one-year LL.M. degree in Intercultural Human Rights featuring top scholars from around the world. The program offers in-depth instruction in doctrinal and skills courses on the critical issue of our time: the protection of human dignity across political, religious, social, economic and cultural lines. Students engage in fruitful intercultural dialogue designed to empower them with the moral and legal foundations leading to shared responsibility, global solidarity and integral human development that assures human flourishing in an order of dignity for all.

The program consists of 12 mostly one-week compact courses designed to offer the highest quality of education in international law, human rights law, humanitarian law, universal and regional systems of human rights protection, and human rights lawyering.

The program celebrates diversity and dialogue among cultures. It has graduated over 450 students from 90 countries since its inception in 2001. From the United Nations to the International Committee of the Red Cross, to Ministries of Foreign Affairs, to CEO positions in the NGO sector, to professorships in academic institutions, our alumni impact the world.

Doctor of the Science of Law (J.S.D.) Program in Intercultural Human Rights
Honors LL.M. graduates are eligible to apply to the J.S.D. (Doctor of the Science of Laws) program and write an original thesis in the field of international law or human rights. The J.S.D. Program provides a premier opportunity for promising human rights scholars to make a lasting contribution to the dynamic and action-oriented field of human rights through researching, analyzing and offering responsible solutions to cutting-edge issues both globally and domestically.
