LLM Health Law fellowship worth $20,000 available

The American Medical Association (AMA) has a fellowship available worth $20,000 for an LLM Health Law student for the 2020-2021 academic year, running from 24th August 2020 until 14th May 14 2021.

The AMA is looking for an attorney with two or more years of litigation or policy experience to join the Litigation Center of the American Medical Association as its 2020-2021 Health Law Fellow. The successful applicant will have the option to receive the $20,000 in the form of either a credit applied directly to the LLM tuition fees or a stipend paid directly to the student.

The AMA fellow will be expected to coordinate work hours via remote technology with AMA for 15-20 hours per week, for a total of 560 hours. They will also be expected to attend relevant AMA meetings as well as undertake other duties such as preparing presentations, writing legal memoranda and reviewing strategies.

To be eligible, candidates should be enrolled full time in an ABA accredited LLM program in health law and have exceptional academic credentials and health law-related research interests.

The application deadline is Saturday 1st August 2020.
