Swansea Shipping & Trade LLMs recognised by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
The International Commercial Arbitration module included in the Shipping and Trade LLMs at Swansea University has been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
As a result of this, all Swansea LLM students who complete the International Commercial Arbitration module will be eligible to apply to be an Associate Member of the CIArb.
As a result of this recognition, Associate Professor George Leloudas, co-ordinator of the International Commercial Arbitration module, enthuses, “We are very pleased with the renewal of our RCP status with the Institute, which is a testament to the quality of the course. We look forward to continue delivering it to our enthusiastic cohort in the years to come.”
This accreditation is available on the following specialisms at Swansea University:
- LLM in International Maritime Law
- LLM in Commercial Law
- LLM in International Trade Law
- LLM in Oil, Gas and Renewable Energy Law, and
- LLM in IP Law and Commercial Practice
Membership of the CIArb is available at three levels –Associate, Member and Fellow – and overall the CIArb has 16,000 members active in various form of alternative dispute resolution in 149 countries. CIArb is the foremost professional institution working for the global promotion, facilitation and development of all forms of private dispute resolution through an international network.
