Summary

The program includes a General Course and a Specialization Courses, comprising approximately 400 lectures. The program is completed with the submission of a thesis. Students will profit from our LL.M. program specially designed and developed for lawyers working in an international field.

The General Course lectures build the foundation for the subsequent Specialization Course. After an introduction to the economic and legal foundations of the international economy and important foreign areas of law, the emphasis shifts to European and international business (e.g., EU Common Market, Competition Law, WTO, Corporate Law, Tax and Corporate Criminal Law).

The aim of this specialization is to acquire the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out M & A processes successfully. Students should be able to analyze and deal with the challenging legal, economic and fiscal problems of M & A transactions. The first module focuses on the basics of M & A transactions, the possible strategies and the management of the deal. Company valuations and accounting are also in the center of this module. The second module deals with the legal aspects of M & A processes. In addition to stock exchange issues, Corporate Acquisition Law, the Law of Takeo-vers and the Financing of Acquisitions are in focus.
