NUI GalwayNUI Galway in Ireland is launching an LLM in International Migration and Refugee Law and Policy.

This new course is a unique Master of Laws program – and the only one of its kind available in Ireland – which has been designed to enable students to develop their knowledge of international and regional law, policy and practice as it relates to the phenomena of international migration, human trafficking and refugee law.

Students on this LLM will be able to combine the study of international migration with specialised modules in international humanitarian law and peace operations, business and human rights, gender and law, child rights, international criminal law, advocacy, activism and strategic litigation, transnational lawyering, post-conflict justice, Islam and human rights.

The LLM in International Migration and Refugee Law and Policy is ideally suited to those interested in developing specialised legal practice skills in migration and asylum law and human rights. It will also suit people already working in the area of international migration/refugee law who wish to develop a more solid and substantial understanding of the various legal aspects to enhance their role. This course can be studied full time over one year and part time over two years. Applications are now open to start in September 2019.
