£15,000 HM Hubbard Law Scholarship available for overseas study

The HM Hubbard Law Scholarship is offering a great opportunity to obtain an insight into the law of France, Spain or Canada. This is an annual scholarship providing up to £15,000 to trainee solicitors or solicitors in England and Wales within three years of admission.

Richard Debenham,  Chairman of Trustees of The HM Hubbard Law Scholarship, says, 'My co-trustees and I are delighted to offer an opportunity for a year's funded study in Canada, France or Spain.'

The HM Hubbard Law Scholarship was created by Henry Malcolm Hubbard (who died in 1946) who wanted to encourage trainee or newly admitted solicitors in England and Wales to study some aspect of the law of France, Spain or Canada. If you are successful in your application for the scholarship you must study in the selected country the law and procedures of that country.

The allocation of scholarships is entirely at the discretion of the trustees. Final selections will be made at interview, and if you are invited to an interview you will need to explain why you believe you should receive a scholarship.
