BU Law launches summer program in US Business Law

Boston UniversityBoston University’s School of Law is running a summer program in US Business Law for International Lawyers this summer 2019.

This three-week course at BU Law has been specifically designed for international lawyers who are interested in enhancing their careers, as well as practitioners who need a deeper understanding of US corporate, business and transactional law.

US Business Law for the International Lawyer will provide lawyers educated outside the United States with the skills they need to enhance their careers, and is suitable for practitioners in law firms and in-house legal departments who want to represent clients more effectively in multi-jurisdiction business transactions.

Areas of study on this summer program will include: 

Introduction to US business law including securities, employment and immigration law; 
Corporations and other types of US business organisations; 
Business transactions; 
Drafting and analysing US contracts; 
US Corporate governance: dispute resolution, privacy & regulatory issues, and intellectual property rights.

US Business Law for the International Lawyer at BU Law will run from Monday 29th July to Friday 16th August 2019.
