IES is offering a new LLM in Data Law
The Institute of European Studies (IES) in Brussels has added a Data Law option as one of the specialisms to focus on as part of its LLM in International and European Law.
This new specialism has been prompted by several new European developments, including the arrival of GDPR, the growing EU involvement in cybersecurity, and the regulation of ‘fake news’, all of which demonstrate the rapidly increasing importance of data law in today’s society.
IES is a frontrunner in international and European law, and new LLM students starting in the 2018-19 academic year will be able to study the exciting new specialism of Data Law. The Data Law option will consist of modules including:
International and European data protection law
Data policies in the EU
Global privacy and data protection law
The other specialisms that LLM students at IES can focus on are Business Law and Public Law.
