Kent Law School opens applications for postgraduate research studentships
Kent Law School has now opened the full-time studentships, fee waivers and bursaries for its postgraduate research programs beginning in 2017.
Kent Law School offers a wide range of funding for postgraduate research students interesting in studying for a PhD or an LLM by research, and there are more than 60 postgraduate research students studying there.
PhD funding at Kent Law School includes studentships funded through the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and through the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Successful applicants for the PhD studentships will receive a maintenance grant equivalent to that currently offered by the ESRC (£14,296 in 2016/17) and a fee grant which will fully cover tuition fees paid at the Home/EU rate. Students who are undertaking an LLM by Research can apply for the Larry Grant Scholarship and also offers a number of fee waivers.
Applicants should submit a sample of written work together with a high-quality research proposal, and to apply online by Wednesday 11th January 2017 for PhD funding or by Friday 5th May 2017 for an LLM by research.
