Kent Law School professor appointed as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences
Professor Sally Sheldon from Kent Law School has been made a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.
The Academy of Social Sciences is the representative body of social sciences in the UK – and fellows are appointed from academics, policymakers and practitioners from the world of social sciences after extensive reviews looking at the excellence and impact of their work.
Professor Sheldon is described by the Academy of Social Sciences as a “pioneer in socio-legal research, particularly in the area of the sociological understanding of the dilemmas and effects of abortion law”.
Professor Sheldon is widely regarded as one of the UK’s leading researchers in health care law and ethics.
