Law at Queen Mary University of London highly ranked worldwide
Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) has been ranked among the top 50 universities worldwide for Law in the recent Times Higher Education (THE) subject rankings 2018. This is the first time that THE has published a subject ranking for Law, and in these rankings QMUL was ranked 37th in the world and 7th in the UK.
The Head of the Department of Law at QMUL, Professor Valsamis Mitsilegas, says, “This welcome news reflects our outstanding international reputation and on going commitment to developing global links in teaching and research. The Times Higher ranking is the latest in a series of independent assessments that place law at QMUL among the world’s elite.”
This is a great reflection of the recent developments at QMUL’s School of Law, including several new global law academic positions and well-established links with leading law schools worldwide.
QMUL’s placement in these prestigious rankings comes hot on the heels of other achievements in the last year, which have seen the School of Law ranked 3rd in the UK and 1st in London in the Guardian University Guide 2018 subject league tables, as well as scoring 91% for student satisfaction in the most recent National Student Survey.
