Miami Law LLM student is cross-border taxation expert
A student on Miami Law’s LLM in Taxation of Cross-Border Investment - José Rubens Scharlack – is becoming an expert in his field!
Miami Law’s LLM in Taxation of Cross-Border Investment is an online degree program for non-US attorneys who have a solid foundation in international tax law in their own domestic tax system. Scharlack – who is a Brazilian attourney and a founding partner of Rodante & Scharlack, heading up the tax team in his firm – is also an international speaker on tax issues. Scharlack chose to pursue an LLM in Taxation of Cross-Border Investment via online study at Miami Law, rather than studying a traditional Tax LLM because his interest lies in international tax with with legal practice, and therefore he felt that specialising in cross-border tax would better help him understand what might be really at stake in terms of tax effects of cross-border transactions. By studying the LLM program online he has the flexibility needed to maintain practice as a working attorney whilst improving his skills.
The online LLM in Taxation of Cross-Border Investment gives students a comprehensive understanding of the principles that underlie cross-border tax planning. Students on this course learn how US tax law interacts with non-US legal considerations in real-world situations.
The LLM in Taxation of Cross-Border Investment can be studied full time, part time or online – find out more.
