University of Bristol Law Clinic shortlisted for prestigious award
The University of Bristol Law Clinic has been shortlisted for a ‘Best Contribution by a Pro Bono Clinic Award’ in the 2018 Annual LawWorks Pro Bono Awards.
These annual awards celebrate the achievements made in enabling access to justice and the supporting of individuals, communities and not-for-profit organisation through legal pro bono work. Bristol Law Clinic gives law students the chance to gain a real-life experience of law, by offering free legal advice to the public under the supervision of University of Bristol Law School staff.
Speaking about making the shortlist the Director of the University of Bristol Law Clinic, John Peake, says, “We are delighted to be nominated. It is a recognition of the significant contribution made by our students in providing a very important service to the local community.”
The 2018 Annual Pro Bono Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony and reception at the Law Society next month.
