Bangor University School of Law offers new PhD scholarship

In conjunction with the Drapers Trust, Bangor University School of Law, is pleased to announce a £12,000 PhD Scholarship, tenable annually for three years, commencing in autumn 2008, or other mutually agreeable commencement date.

Preference will be given to those applications coming from applicants under the age of 25 as of October 30, 2008, who are already in possession of a strong law degree.  Applications in the area of European Law or Commercial Law (in the widest sense), are particularly welcome, though applications in any field of Law will be considered from strong candidates. The key criterion to address is whether the PhD research will make a contribution to scholarship in relation to legal issues, or the theory of Law, of relevance either to the United Kingdom in general, or to Wales.

The Scholarship will cover the Annual Tuition Fee of £3,300 and the balance will be paid to the Candidate in monthly installments over a three--year period.

For an Application form please E-mail:

The Closing date is 30th October 2008.
