Become a student at the College of Law in January 2013!

The College of LawThe College of Law, a world-renowned institution for legal education with centres across the UK, is now making its Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) course available for January start from 2013. The course will run at the College's centres in Birmingham, York, Chester, and London Moorgate, and is a part of the new initiative by the College of Law to make its courses available for January start instigated by the introduction of the Legal Practice Course (LPC) programmes.

The College’s Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) aims to enable non-law graduates to enter the legal profession, and was developed in consultation with renowned professionals in the field. Various prominent law firms such as Ashurst, Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, SNR Denton, Linklaters, and Pinsent Masons send their trainees to undertake the GDL at the College of Law.

The course lasts for 8 months and is delivered by professional lawyers who will help students to experience both academic and practical learning. Its “‘Preparing for Practice” module will equip students with first-hand experience and allow them to practice the skills acquired through lectures, face to face tuitions, and small group workshops in real-life situations.

Sarah Hutchinson, Board Member for Business Development at the College of Law, says: “Our students highly appreciate flexibility in their studies, and it is our responsibility to listen to their demands and provide them with flexibility in their learning experience. We are already very flexible in terms of study modes we offer because many of our courses can be studied either part-time or full-time or through online tuitions. Giving our students the flexibility in terms of course start dates is a further important advancement.”
