Glasgow offers free online international law course
A second Massive Open Online Course (or MOOC for short) is being offered for free from the University of Glasgow. This six-week program is being offered by the School of Law, and is hosted on Future Learn. The course will focus on “Right vs Might in International Relations”, and starts on the 23rd June.
The course will look at international law in disputes crossing national borders, and focus on high-profile disputes that students may have already heard broadly about. Examples of case studies include Guantanamo Bay, Counter-Piracy Operations and Investment Disputes.
There is no limitation on participation- beyond the need for an internet connection – and all materials will be provided online. It's estimated to take up four hours per week. The University of Glasgow is one of 26 university partners of Future Learn which is backed by the Open University.
