Glasgow PhD scholarship offers chance for cross-discipline research
The University of Glasgow is again pleased to announce the Lord Kelvin/Adam Smith Scholarships scheme which was established in 2007. The scholarship is aimed at supporting the development of innovative, boundary-crossing research at the University. The scheme is intended to create new partnerships between members of staff and will offer outstanding research students both from home and abroad the opportunity to participate in innovative research collaborations involving the development of exciting cross-discipline research ideas.
Each PhD scholarship will run for 4 years and will provide the successful students with a stipend (£13,290.00 for 2009-10). On top of this, the project will benefit from £5,300 per year research allowance.
