Glasgow School of Law welcomes top international lawyers to workshop
The University of Glasgow School of Law recently welcomed Judge Bruno Simma, who sits on the International Court of Justice, and Professor James Crawford SC, Director of the Lauterpacht Centre, University of Cambridge and Whewell Professor of International Law at Cambridge, to an International Law Workshop.
The workshop was part of a series to mark the 75th anniversary of the publication, The Development of International Law by the Permanent Court of International Justice.
The workshops, organised by Professor Christian Tams and Dr. James Sloan from the law school, seek to explore the impact of international jurisprudence on contemporary international law.
Dr Sloan said: ‘We are extremely fortunate to be hosting two of the most highly regarded individuals in the international legal profession. It is incredibly exciting that the University's School of Law will have the rare privilege of hosting these two individuals in a half-day workshop. This ranks among the most important international legal events held at the University.’
The School of Law offers five different LLM programmes, including the LLM in International Law which Professor Tams convenes. To find out more about the LLM programmes, please visit the School of Law's website.
