Innovative Competition Law and Economics Programme at King’s
Located in the heart of London, King’s College School of Law offers interdisciplinary law degrees looking at the developing legal field of competition and its related economics. In recent comments about the degree programmes, King’s law professor Richard Whish described the law school as '…a vibrant community of scholars, committed to advancing the understanding of what competition is and what it can achieve. King's College of London School of Law runs Competition Law and Economics courses at three degree-granting levels:
- LLM - seven courses that can be taken as part of either the tailored or specialist LLM programme.
- Postgraduate Diplomas - two (distance learning) postgraduate diplomas/ MAs, one in competition law and the other in competition economics, are run through the Centre for European Law.
- LLB - one undergraduate course.
- King’s law department also offers research programmes leading to the awarding of a MPhil/Ph.D.
The Law School is also host to several well-regarded lecture series throughout the academic year. This year the Centre of European Law will welcome Professor Richard Whish to deliver the Recent Development Lectures Series. All lectures will be held from 18.00 to 20.00 in Room K2.31 (formerly 2C) on the first floor of the main building at the Strand Campus at King's College London.

- 23 October 2008 - The EC Merger Regulation and Procedural Issues
- 30 October 2008 - UK Competition Law: Competition Act 1998
- 6 November 2008 - UK Competition Law: Competition Act 1998 (ctd)/ Enterprise Act 2002
- Fee: £175 for one lecture or £800 for all five lectures
Each lecture is accredited with two points for Continual Professional Development.
