Lewis & Clark LLM graduate gains prestigious position
A recent LLM graduate from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon – Veronica Muriel Carrioni – has been hired as the director of the Environmental Law Department of the Law School at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, which is located in Bogotá, Colombia.
The Lewis & Clark alumnus met the Universidad Sergio Arboleda professors during a presentation at Lewis & Clark Law School.
Speaking of her exciting new position, Veronica says, “I have always been passionate about the environment, and Lewis & Clark was the perfect place to improve my knowledge in the environmental law field and gain the tools and experience I needed to be an environmental lawyer with an international perspective. The courses, clinical experience and other multiple events at Lewis & Clark were the perfect combination for me to have a great experience during the course of my LLM. Everything I learned at Lewis & Clark prepared me for the challenges I will face during the rest of my career as an environmental lawyer in Colombia.”
As the director of the Environmental Law Department of the Law School at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, Veronica’s new job involves creating a cutting-edge environmental law program for the law school.
