Swansea Law School hosts third Annual Careers Fair
The School of Law at Swansea University hosted its third Annual Careers Fair in March and it was attended to by a host of big names in the legal employment field including JCP Solicitors, Eversheds, Holman Fenwick Willan LLP and The Britannia Steam Ship Insurance Association Ltd.
Current Swansea School of Law LLM students were pleased to find that there were also a number of former Swansea LLM students present who have found employment at leading law firms.
Director of Taught Master Schemes at Swansea University, Professor Baris Soyer, says, “The event was a great success and enabled our LLM students to make useful contacts with the representatives of key players in the market. We were also very proud to see several of our graduates employed by the leading international firms coming back to Swansea to represent their employers and offer guidance to our current students. This is a clear indication of the standing that Swansea LLM degrees enjoy in practice. I also wish to thank Dr Jon Howden-Evans, the College Employability Lead, who offered bespoke guidance and support to our LLM students preparing them for the day. We are confident that his involvement will enhance our LLM students’ employability prospects in an increasingly competitive global job market.”
Most recent figures on unistats.direct.gov.uk places Swansea University School of Law with a 61% graduate employability score, ranking them 13th out of all UK law schools and the top law school in Wales.
