Swansea University LLM students receive prestigious prizes
Two LLM graduates from Swansea University School of Law have been awarded prizes for their achievements during their studies.
In June 2011, Susanna Marsden was awarded the Ince & Co Prize for securing the highest overall performance within the examination stage of the degree. The Ince & Co Prize is generously sponsored by a world-leading firm of solicitors with particular expertise in maritime and commercial issues. Susanna, who undertook an LLM in International Commercial and Maritime Law following her undergraduate studies at the University of Oxford, received her award at Ince & Co.’s central offices in London.
Meanwhile, in July 2011 another Swansea LLM student, Francis Libert, was named as the winner of the annual Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law Prize. This prestigious prize is awarded for the best performance within the research component of the LLM degree. Francis, who earned an LLM in International Maritime Law, now works as a marine broker at a prestigious firm in his native Belgium.
