Sydney to offer new intensive postgrad study unit

Sydney Law School is offering Children and Family Law as an intensive study unit for May and June 2010, and it is to be delivered by Professor Patrick Parkinson.

Children and Family Law examines the various issues regarding parenting after a couple separate. It also analyses other aspects of a child's wellbeing that arise in family law disputes. The topics covered include shared parenting, parental relocation, parenting after separation, family violence, child sex abuse and children's participation in family law decision making.

The Children and Family Law unit is available to study through the following Sydney Law School degree programmes:

    * Master of Laws (LLM) or Graduate Diploma in Law (GradDipLaw)
    * Master of Global Law (MGlobL)

Candidates can also enrol in the subject on a Legal Professional Development (LPD), Single Unit Enrolment or Cross-Institutional basis.
