The latest from the University of Glasgow School of Law

University of Glasgow, School of Law logoThere are a number of recent developments affecting the LLM at the Glasgow University School of Law.

Professor Iain Forrester, a competition law practitioner with years of experience in some of the most high profile cases in the European Community, is being honoured by the University with an honorary doctorate degree. The School hosted a recent meeting of the Scottish Competition Law Forum. Professor Mark Furse was recently in Beijing, where he was invited to lead a seminar for the Ministry of Commerce on the subject of UK merger control. He also recently led a seminar in London for a leading firm of European economic consultants on the topic of UK competition law.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor George Walker, a leading commercial lawyer, who will be involved in the new LLM in Corporate and Financial Law.

In International Law Drs Rasulov and Sloan are working on new books, and, with Professor Tams, are discussing how best to share the combined expertise of the department in international law with incoming LLM students.

All members of staff at Glasgow University School of Law are looking forward to welcoming new students to the coming academic year.
