ULaw appoints new Provost

University of LawThe University of Law has appointed Professor Andrea Nollent to the role of Provost.

Originally educated at Dundee and Durham before rising to become the Head of the Law School at Sheffield Hallam, Professor Nollent has been the Dean of Nottingham Law School since 2010. During her time there she was responsible for growing enrolments, sparking new partnerships and delivering an improvement in student satisfaction. She is also a Visiting Professor at leading European universities, and works in the field of internationalisation of legal education.

The ULaw President and CEO John Lathan says of the appointment, “Andrea is an attested leader in higher education and she will be a major addition to our team. Above all, her commitment to and evidence of achievement in delivering quality outcomes for students is what makes her the ideal appointment to the post of Provost. We are all delighted with her appointment and looking forward to welcoming her to the University.”

Professor Nollent commented that she is “delighted to join the University and lead future innovation in its academic strategy.”
