University of Law and University of Liverpool launch new partnership
The privately owned University of Law, and the Russell Group member, University of Liverpool will be developing a partnership to offer joint and dual programs in Law alongside Business Management. The first collaboration of its kind, it intends to harness to strengths and focuses of both institutions.
Initially launching as two new undergraduate degrees and one postgraduate program in September 2015, the collaboration intends to offers other programs as it develops. Graduates will receive awards from both universities.
Mr Willetts MP, Minister of State for Universities and Science, says of the partnership: “This Government’s reforms were intended to promote new forms of delivering higher education, and I welcome this collaboration between The University of Law and the University of Liverpool as a product of those reforms. Both organisations have a fantastic track record of innovation in domestic and global markets and their collaboration will surely create new opportunities for young people entering the professional services sector.”
The University of Liverpool’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sir Howard Newby adds, “We hope this partnership will enable students to receive an enviable professional education from two renowned institutions. Whilst we will continue to offer our popular suite of academically-focused Law degrees at our Liverpool campus, we are excited to be offering these opportunities at our new London campus in the heart of the city.”
