University of Law launches new Leeds law centre
The University of Law (ULaw), is opening a new law centre in Leeds – it is doing this so it can relocate its Yorkshire training centre from York from September 2014. This relocation will allow ULaw to offer a broader range of programmes to a wider group of students. It will also be more accessible for law firms based in the North East.
ULaw is making a £2.1m investment in this new centre, and it will have 50 staff and nearly 400 students. It will be based at 15-16 Park Row, which is in the heart of Leeds’ legal and business community.
John Latham, Provost and CEO of The University of Law, explains, “Leeds has much to offer students, being the third largest metropolitan area in England. Our new location in the heart of the city will provide further opportunities for aspiring young lawyers and enable law firms across the North East to access high calibre law students and the highest quality legal training for their staff.”
