University of Leeds launches EU Law Summer School

University of LeedsThe School of Law at the University of Leeds is running a new summer course to introduce postgraduate students to EU law. This course is aimed at prospective postgraduate students who have not had the opportunity to study EU law at undergraduate level.

The study of European Union Law is very relevant in today as nations look towards the EU for guidance in many matters including legal ones. This course is taught through "blended learning", which means students are sent a study text, questions and electronic exercises, which enables them to study EU law in their own time, slotting it in along other commitments. There is then a four-week stay in Leeds during which time students work on a topic, that they have to write a paper and deliver a presentation about. Finally students take a written exam based on their studies.

This course is perfect for those students wishing to study an LLM in European Law or related topics, but that have not yet had the chance to study EU law – as it will give a very solid understanding of the subject. It costs just £750 and the deadline for applications is Friday 16th May 2014.
