University of Nottingham holds Human Rights Careers Event
The University of Nottingham's School of Law held a Human Rights Careers Event on Friday 15th April. It was organised by Masters Plus @ the School of Law in association with the LLM Society and was attended by 40 LLM students.
This event was held at Amnesty International’s Human Rights Action Centre. It provided Nottingham law students with an ideal opportunity to meet human rights professionals who work at local and international organisations.
There were speakers from Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, the International Bar Association, Advocates for International Development, Liberty and the British Institute of Human Rights, all of whom gave presentations and met with LLM students from the School of Law to answer their questions.
The LLM students that attended this event gave it very positive feedback, saying they found it very informative and that it gave them some great insight into their future career objectives.
