US News and World Report Releases 2014 Law School Rankings

Yale University retained its No. 1 spot in the full-time category of the 2014 Best US Law Schools according to the US News rankings, with Stanford and Harvard Law School both ranked at joint 2nd.

This year's full-time rankings saw some big changes with Washington University in St Louis improving its rank from 23rd to a tie at the 19th position, while the University of Washington fell from 20th to 28th.

In the part-time programme rankings Georgetown University and George Washington University held onto their No. 1 and No. 2 positions respectively, while Fordham University, George Mason University, and the University of Connecticut held the 3rd, 4th, and 5th spots, respectively.

There were major changes in the part-time law programme rankings as well as Loyola University Chicago, which had dropped to 33rd in last year’s rankings, made a significant rebound and moved up to joint 6th place with Loyola Marymount University and University of Maryland's Francis King Carey School of Law.

Brooklyn Law School's ranking sank from 3rd to 21st and Yeshiva University's Cardozo School of Law dropped from 4th to 12th.
